Local bank self-service ATMs were equipped with palm vein recognition in place of password and card swiping, addressing password leakage, lost cards and card skimming while keeping identity checks accurate and contactless.
A large-scale palm payment system serves supermarkets, convenience stores and catering outlets. Shoppers pay with a palm scan instead of a phone or card, which simplifies checkout where mobile payment penetration is still limited.
Customised palm vein modules were integrated into campus POS terminals for meal distribution in primary and secondary schools. Binding a palm template to the student record gives one-scan verification at the counter and reduces false or repeated claims.
